ToggleWHAT HAPPENED?
Shortly after Madrid confirmed the signing of Bournemouth ace Huijsen for £50m ($66.4m), after paying his release clause, Ancelotti has stated the 20-year-old has "great potential" and he is "excited" about these kinds of signings.

WHAT ANCELOTTI SAID
He told a press conference: "Huijsen is a great, young player with great potential. The signing is very good. I'm very excited about all the players Madrid signs, because Madrid always wants to be at its best and will always be at its best. Last year, it wasn't even possible because we had [David] Alaba back in the squad, [Eder] Militao was doing well, [Dani] Carvajal was doing well… What's happened this season is that these injuries have hurt us."

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Huijsen only joined Bournemouth from Juventus last summer for an initial £12.8m ($17m) and now, he is preparing to join, arguably, the biggest club in the world. The centre-back, who won't work with Ancelotti as he is leaving Los Blancos at the end of the season to become Brazil's national team boss, has been one of the best defenders in the Premier League this term and is seen as a top talent. How high his ceiling is remains to be seen.

WHAT NEXT?
Before Huijsen joins Madrid, he will likely feature in Bournemouth's final two games of the season against Manchester City and Leicester City on Tuesday and next Sunday respectively.
